Discover La Graciosa by catamaran

A fully organised day trip from Lanzarote

On this boat trip, you’ll see La Graciosa at its best – from the sea. As the catamaran cruises through the protected waters along the island’s coast, you can enjoy the open sea, the peace and quiet and that special sense of freedom.

Your trip gets off to an easy start: you’ll be picked up from your accommodation or a nearby meeting point and taken to the ferry port in Órzola. If you prefer to drive there yourself, you can park for free. After a ferry crossing of just over 20 minutes, you’ll arrive on La Graciosa.

Once you arrive on La Graciosa, you’ll board the catamaran. Once on board, you’ll soon leave everyday life behind: soft music, the fresh sea breeze and views of the coast create a relaxed atmosphere.

The catamaran first heads to La Cocina Beach, at the foot of the striking Montaña Amarilla. The warm shades of yellow, ochre and red blend with the turquoise sea to create a captivating interplay of colours and a truly special setting on La Graciosa.

The catamaran then sets course for La Francesa Beach. It drops anchor in the sheltered bay, giving you time to relax and enjoy this special place at your own pace: soak up the sun, take a dip in the crystal-clear water, go snorkelling or explore the area by kayak. Lunch and chilled drinks are served during your time in the bay.

After the catamaran trip, you’ll have some free time to explore Caleta del Sebo. There are no paved roads in this small island village. Instead, you can wander along sandy streets and enjoy La Graciosa’s unique, laid-back atmosphere.

Or you can spend a little longer relaxing on the beach, stop for coffee and cake or browse for a souvenir. It’s a lovely, unhurried way to round off this special day.

Frequently asked questions

Still have questions?

Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about the La Graciosa catamaran trip.

Can I cancel for free?

Yes. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you’ll receive a full refund. Alternatively, you can reschedule your trip for another date, provided you do so at least 24 hours in advance and places are still available.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Occasionally, the trip may be cancelled due to weather conditions. The captain of the catamaran makes this decision. If this happens, you can reschedule your trip for another date or receive a full refund.

Can I make my own way to Órzola?

If you don’t need the coach transfer, you can easily make your own way to Órzola, for example in a hire car. If you’re already on La Graciosa, you can of course join the trip there. However, the price remains the same in both cases.
If you drive to Órzola, free parking is available. Please note that you must be in Caleta del Sebo on La Graciosa no later than 12 noon to board the catamaran.

How long does the trip last?

This depends on whether you use the coach transfer or make your own way there. If you use the coach transfer, the total duration also depends on where your accommodation is located on Lanzarote.
Coach pick-ups begin in the south of the island at 8.00 am. The ferry to La Graciosa departs at 11.30 am, and the catamaran trip begins at 12 noon. The return ferry to Lanzarote departs at 4.30 pm, and the coach journey back begins at 5.00 pm.

What should I bring on the trip?

We recommend bringing swimwear, sunglasses, sun cream, a towel and comfortable clothing. Remember to bring something warm to put on too, especially for the return journey, when it can sometimes feel a little cooler.

Can I get seasick on the catamaran?

This is uncommon. The catamaran is very stable in the water, so you’re unlikely to feel seasick on board. You may notice a little more movement on the ferry, but the crossing only takes around 20 minutes. If you are prone to seasickness, however, we recommend taking the usual precautions.

Is the ferry to La Graciosa included in the price?
